Minimize Mobility and Signaling Traffic
The Mobinets’ NEP Access Suite is a comprehensive access network design, planning and service area optimization tool that enables operators to simulate, compare and ultimately improve their access network to reduce capital and operational expenditures.
The Access Suite supports dimensioning of the 2G/3G access network, including interfaces (Iub/Iu, Abis, Gb), PCU cards, and network nodes (NB, BTS, BSC, MFS, RNC). Additionally, the Access Suite enables dynamic simulation across various network elements serving to enhance network design accuracy. To further enhance optimization, it allows operators to compare allocated resources to measured resource occupancy, identifying network over- and under-dimensioning.
The Mobinets NEP access tool also permits GSM, GPRS, UMTS optimization. It enables service area optimization, minimizing mobility between MSC/SGSN/BSC/LAC/RAC service areas and signaling traffic. It permits decreasing Location Area Update traffic without HLR inter-working, minimizes mobility between border cells of different LACs, eliminates paging signaling bottlenecks, and minimizes paging blocking. This results in an optimized Location Area distribution, automatically balancing the paging load and location updates.
