  Network Planning Tool (NPT) Core Network Related Features
   
 
NPT has multiple Core Network related modules that help in the Planning & Optimization of mobile network NSS; these modules are:

 
  • Traffic Matrix Generation module:
    • Generation of real inter-MSCs Traffic matrix based on CDRs processing; deducing traffic matrix in case of changes in network architecture

  • Core Routing optimization module / Failover "what if" scenarios:
    • Optimization of the switching Core Network routing for efficient usage of available transmission bandwidth and spare capacity utilization

  • SS7 Network Planning module:
    Accurate dimensioning of the SS7 network links & interfaces based on the MSC "Mobile Subscriber Profile"

  • QoS and Business Analysis module:
    • Generation of QoS reports as perceived by end customers for any predefined cluster of subscribers (e.g. VIP subscribers, Roamers) / different types of call drop errors based on CDRs processing
